ndrea Lee, who is a rising LPGA Tour-star is highlighted by her maiden win at the Portland Classic of 2022. Lee has won at every level including at Standford University earning 9 wins during her collegiate career and having 17 weeks of being the most successful Women's Amateur in the World. In the year 2019, she was awarded the Mark H. McCormack Medal as the most highly ranked Women's Amateur towards the close of the season. She became a professional in the following year. Andrea Lee, a former amateur golfer is doing her part in the pro game. This American LPGA Tour athlete has some surprising facts that you might not have known. Andrea Lee was born in Los Angeles on 15 August 1998. She began playing golf when she was just 5 under the tuition from her dad James. At the age of 8 when she began competing in tournaments. She was awarded 50 championships when she was a junior player in just four years. She qualified for her first tournament in the year 2014 US Women's Open at Pinehurst No. aged 15 with her dad along with her as a caddie. The LPGA Tour invited her as an official sponsor for the her 2015 ANA Inspiration, where she made the cut but just one stroke. Lee represented the USA in the Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup as well as the Women's World Amateur Team Championship. In 2016, she joined Stanford University and became its most decorated sportsperson at the moment. In the following three years, she racked up nine individual titles. Lee was a graduate in 2018 has left Stanford University for the professional world. Her amateur golf career saw her finish 17 weeks at the high in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee received the 2019 Mark H. McCormack Medal for finishing the year with the highest ranking amateur. Lee scored four hole-in ones and one albatross as an amateur. The first time she played on the LPGA Tour saw her finish within the top two spots of 10 spots. She placed 7th at the 2020 AIG Women's Open at Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee took home her first LPGA Tour title at the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee dedicated her victory to her late grandfather Min. "He was always called me a champion, and he never doubted me." He was an amazing man and I'm sure he is following. Lee has previously competed in figure skating, soccer and Taekwondo. Away from golf Lee's hobbies include shopping for movies, singing bowling and snowboarding.
