Lisa Olivia Munn is a resident of Oklahoma City. Her mother, Kimberly Schmid, lived in Vietnam and has Chinese origin, and the father of her, Winston Barrett Munn, comes from a family that has deep roots in the American South. Her parents separated when she was just two years old and she was raised by her father and stepfather who was an active member of the United States Air Force. Although the family departed Oklahoma and stayed in various places, she was educated within Tokyo, Japan. In the years that followed, she appeared in several local theatre productions, and then began modeling for the Japanese fashion industry. Olivia has relocated with her family to Los Angeles in order to fulfill her desire to become an actress was determined to pursue her goal after the family returned to America. Olivia's career began to take off following a few tiny parts. The role she landed was that of Mily in the series with a Hawaii lens Beyond the Break (2005) and also the receptionist part in the film Big Stan starring Rob Schneider in Big Stan (2006). She hosts "The Daily Nut", "Formula D" and "The Formula D Podcasts" on G4. Following the TV show Beyond the Break, she has continued to surf. She has also earned a black belt for taekwondo. At the age of two, her mother married again however this time to the same US Air Force member. Her family was primarily from Tokyo, Japan where her stepfather was a member. The university she attended was at the University of Oklahoma, where she earned a degree in journalism. She also minored in Japanese and drama arts.
